Hitman Card Game How to Play Teams

Squad rules — shared lives, shared Future, and the exclusive cards Casual never deals.

Last updated:

Teams Mode

Teams is the squad playlist: you share a life pool more than a scoreboard. A teammate can Angel you. Future peeks appear for the whole side. You only lose when every member is dead, not when you personally draw Hitman. Exclusive cards are Shield, Super Attack, and Old Shuffle (Quick Shuffle is swapped out). Super Attack can also show in Original tables with four or more players.

If you still need the solo turn loop, read How to Play first. Card text is on Cards. This page is only the squad layer.

Create or join a Teams room

From Play, pick a room with gamemode Teams (or Classic/Original if you only want Super Attack at high player counts). Full lobby flags are on Rooms: max players 2–10, bots, friends-only, starting cards, turn duration, custom decks, Starter Angels.

Voice is not required. Text “need Shield” is enough if your partner knows what Shield blocks.

Shared lives

When an ally draws Hitman, any teammate may spend Angel for them. That is a real sacrifice: you lose your personal save to keep the board even. Greedy partners who never spend Angel will still lose when they become the last body and finally draw death.

Chain is extra nasty here: chaining Angel locks the other team only if you played it. You can freeze their saves while yours stay live. Cancel that incoming Chain or the whole squad is walking a tightrope.

Exclusive cards, in squad language

Shield. Pick a player (usually the ally holding the last Angel). They ignore Steal, Cancel, Pirate success, Inferno cancel/burn, and Chain. Pirate into Shield always fails and you receive their Pirate. Shield does not stop Hitman itself — it stops the setup that forces the draw.

Super Attack. Other team takes +2 turns each. Does not end your turn, so you can Attack immediately after to put a 4-stack on one seat and 2 on the rest. Cancelable. There are still more Attacks than Cancels in the mix, so bait Cancels before the Super.

Old Shuffle. Teams’ shuffle. Use it when shared Future is now a lie (someone Bottomed or Angel-placed). Because your whole team saw the peek, a shuffle is a group decision — ping it.

Request Card exists so Steal-on-ally is pointless. If you need their Skip, ask.

Roles at a four-player table (2v2)

  • Anchor — keeps Angel, takes Shield, refuses greedy Future that will get Canceled.
  • Clock — Attack / Super Attack / Chain. Their job is to force the other pair to dump Skips.
  • Either can Inferno if the other pair is Angel-rich and you are not.

Do not both Future on consecutive turns. One peek is shared. Spend the second Future later when the deck is 2–5 cards.

Chips and ranked

Teams is not the REP ladder. Ranked remains 1v1 (Ranked). Play Teams for badges like Full House (10 types in hand) and social tables. Cosmetics still show. Daily Challenges that say “outlast 10 players” go faster in fat Teams rooms.

If your partner injects a GUI, leave. Their ban-bait is not worth your Conqueror progress (scripts). Host friends-only if you want a lab for Shield timings without public chaos.

Common squad deaths

  1. Both Angels spent on early Hitman placements that were actually safe draws.
  2. Nobody Cancels the first Chain on Angel.
  3. Super Attack into a Shielded anchor (you just passed them extra turns they wanted).
  4. Inferno naming Skip when they had none and you burned your own.

Review those four after every loss before you blame RNG. Teams reduces RNG by sharing information — waste that information and you are playing Casual with extra steps.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers players actually search for.

Do I lose when I draw Hitman in Teams?

You are out, but the team still plays until every member is dead. Allies can Angel you.

Does Future show for teammates?

Yes. One Future peeks for the whole side.

What does Shield block?

Steal, Cancel, successful Pirate, Inferno’s cancel/burn, and Chain. Not Hitman draws.

Is Super Attack Ranked-only?

No. Teams always has it. Original decks can spawn it at 4+ players.
