Hitman Card Game Tips, Combos, and Table Sense
The lines that separate lucky Angel saves from people who always seem to know where Hitman sits.
Hitman Card Game is card counting with a murder button. These tips assume you already know the turn loop (How to Play) and the card text (Cards). Pair them with the tier list so you know what to keep while you learn when to spend it.
Early deck (fat, low death %)
Draw. You need Angels, Cancels, and extra Skips more than you need to look conservative. Two-player tables with one Hitman in a large deck are especially safe. Hoarding Skip while your hand is two Bottoms is how you lose the endgame with no tools.
Self-Attack after a clean Future peek is free cards. Do it before someone Shuffles your knowledge away.
Mid deck (someone already Angel-saved)
Track the placement. If they put Hitman top, you Skip, Reverse, Bottom, or Shuffle. If they put it second, a single Skip still dies on the next cycle. If they put it random, Future is now worth Cancel-bait.
Count Angels on the table. Starter Angels means each seat began with one. Extra Angels only exist if someone drew them. Steal last-card hands.
Endgame (under ~10 cards)
Stop greed-drawing. Value order: Angel > Cancel > Skip/Reverse > Inferno > Mirror > Future > Attack. Bottom is a scalpel, not a keep-forever.
Inferno trick: if one card remains, burned cards return on top. Play Inferno, then you are first to those cards if the turn structure allows.
One-card pile: after you play Angel or Attack, Quick Play Shuffle so Mirror cannot copy the buried card. Ranked players live on this fork (Ranked cards).
Angel placement is a message
- Top means you think they cannot Skip.
- Bottom means you want time and maybe your own Bottom later.
- Second/third means you respect their Skip or Future.
- Random means you are fighting a Future user.
Never place top “for content” against a Magician who still has two Skips. You just gave them a free cycle.
Combat lines
Attack + Mirror until they Angel, then Shuffle. There are more Attacks than Cancels.
Chain Angel before you force a draw. Cancel that Chain on sight if you are the victim; otherwise Skip until the three turns expire.
Inferno Angels only if you are already broke. Inferno cannot stop a resolving Angel, so do it as setup, not as a panic on the save itself.
Mirror Angel when they just saved and you drew Hitman — that is a second life. Inferno can still burn the unused copy next turn, so play out the extra life immediately.
Rewind + Angel in Ranked: survive and recover the card. Then Pirate if they still have a duplicate Angel from Starter Angels.
Psychology that is not fluff
People afraid to draw stall the table and arrive at endgame with empty skill stacks. Force them with Attack. People who always Future on 30% will eat your Cancel; keep a fake hitch, then Bottom instead.
Do not announce placements in public voice. You are teaching the whole café.
Practice without ruining REP
Host rooms with bots, 20-second turns, extra Future in a custom deck if you own the gamepass. Drill one combo per night: only Attack stacks, only Inferno naming, only Angel-top vs Angel-bottom. Then queue Casual, then Ranked.
Scripts will not place Hitman with this much nuance, and they will not keep your Pride banner (scripts). Table sense will.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers players actually search for.
When should I stop drawing?
When the deck is under about 10 cards or death chance is high, unless you still hold Angel plus a Skip.
Where should I put Hitman after Angel?
Top if they are Skip-poor, bottom to stall, second/third to beat a single Skip, random to fight Future.
How do I beat Chain on my Angel?
Cancel the Chain, Shield in Teams, or refuse to draw until the three turns end.
What is the best Ranked combo?
Rewind recovering Angel, or Pirate on a guaranteed duplicate Angel. See Ranked.
