Hitman Card Game Ranked
The 1v1 ladder — REP, streaks, exclusive cards, and why unused cards in a loss sting.
Ranked is Hitman Card Game’s competitive playlist: one opponent, a REP ladder from Book Worm to Hitman, and a Competitive mix that now includes Pirate, Rewind, and Shield. Shield started in Teams and later joined Ranked Find Match. Press Play on the home screen, choose Ranked, then Find Match. Matchmaking hunts nearby REP, not your sleeve flex.
Read Ranked cards for Pirate, Rewind, and Shield tiers. Read ranks for the cosmetic gates. This page is how a match actually feels.
Before you queue
- Know Angel placement cold (How to Play).
- Hold Cancel for Attack, Steal, Inferno, and late Future — not for Bottom.
- Play a few 1v1 Casual rooms so Reverse-as-Skip is muscle memory.
- Redeem codes on your main so you are not shopping mid-session.
If you still panic-draw at 20% death chance, stay in Casual. Ranked opponents Attack that habit.
REP in and REP out
Wins add opponent-gap plus streak. Streak starts paying on the second win: 2-win streak adds +2 extra, 6-win streak adds +6, and so on, capped by rank:
- Book Worm +50
- Jester +30
- Grifter +20
- Magician / Phantom +15
- Angel / Hitman +10
Losses subtract gap, unused cards, and a rank modifier. Dumping your hand before you die looks like a throw and can cost extra. Hold a Skip even if you think you are dead — the formula cares.
Titles and Chip bonuses at each gate (500 → 3500 Chips) plus banners, sleeves, and charms are listed on ranks. Hitting 100 career wins anywhere still grants Conqueror cosmetics on badges.
Extra cards in the Competitive mix
Pirate is a same-turn duplicate thief. After they play Angel, Skip, or Attack, check their hand size. Fat hands have duplicates. Miss and they own your Pirate, which they will immediately use on your Angel. Cancel or Inferno incoming Pirates on Angel. Shield now sits in Ranked as well — it makes their Pirate fail automatically, the same way it did in Teams.
Rewind is a time machine for two pile cards. Activate it, then play Angel on a Hitman so the Angel comes home. Or Steal twice. Do not Rewind Shuffle. You cannot start a second Rewind while one is live — the round would never end.
Shield is no longer Teams-only. Ranked’s Competitive list now includes it. It auto-fails incoming Pirate, Attack, Steal, Inferno, and similar negatives aimed at you (the block list still matches Teams docs). It is not a second Angel — Hitman still kills unless you have Angel. Ranked does not import Super Attack or Old Shuffle; those stay on the Teams page.
1v1 habits that win
- Track their Cancel. If it is gone, Attack until they Angel, then Shuffle.
- Future is louder in 1v1; they will Cancel it when death chance is high. Fake Future in your body language, then Bottom.
- One-card endgame: play a pile card, then Quick Play Shuffle so they cannot Mirror whatever you buried.
- Do not emote-delay on 10-second clocks. Time-outs draw.
After the match
Win or lose, glance at unused cards. If you died holding three Bottoms and no Skip, your tier list homework is Skip management, not “I needed scripts.” Scripts in Ranked are how accounts with Pride banners disappear — see the scripts hub.
Queue again while the Pirate timing is fresh, or stop for Daily Challenges so the Chip bonus at the next rank actually lands in a shop refresh you care about (shop). Casual tables do not heat or spend your streak, so use them only to rehearse one line — Shuffle after Angel, Pirate on a fat hand — then return to Find Match. Ranked is always two seats, one Hitman threat, and Pirate / Rewind / Shield; treat every loss as a note for tips, not a reason to open scripts.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers players actually search for.
How do I unlock Ranked cards?
Queue Ranked. Pirate, Rewind, and Shield are in the Competitive deck automatically.
Does a win streak last after a loss?
No. The extra REP from streak resets when you lose.
Why did I lose extra REP?
Rank gap plus unused cards in hand. Play or cycle extras before you die if you can do so safely.
Is Ranked 1v1 only?
Yes. Casual and Teams cover groups. Ranked Find Match is always one opponent.
